LCCC hold workshops throughout the year on topics of interest to those working with children in County Laois. Previous topics have included; I.T. LCCC has identified the need for workshops which are specifically targeted at providers who are offering school age childcare. We are currently consulting with Childcare Providers as to what topics they would like to see covered during 2012.
We would encourage all school age childcare providers to complete the short survey. The first workshop of 2012 has been scheduled below. A second workshop will take place in October this year.

Following from the survey conducted by LCCC, the Childcare Provider Network meetings will be held as stand-alone events for the first half of 2012. This was one of the recommendations from respondents to the survey.

• Ensure the developmental needs of all children are met within a framework of planned activity and early learning experiences • Working with other team members in implementing an appropriate early years curriculum • Adhere to the child protection policy of the service • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the service • Participate in staff meetings • Any other duties relevant to the post
Must Have;
• A minimum of FETAC Level 5 in childcare • Must supply suitable references • Be prepared to complete a ‘Garda Vetting Application Form’.
