Introduction

Training is an important aspect of quality in terms of childcare service delivery. The training you undertake will depend on the type of service you are providing, the age profile of the children and their needs etc.

It is advisable to look for an appropriate course that includes work experience. A qualification is essential if you want to provide a quality service and work experience will give you the opportunity to put your training into practice and give you a good insight of the practicalities of working with children in a pre or afterschool setting.

Please be advised that due to a high level of interest in the FETAC Childcare modules, priority will be given to our current learners.  Unfortunately  we are not in a position to to take on new learners for 2012.
