Early Years Update – Tusla re-registration – Phase II Guidance document

A number of documents need to be submitted by 30th June 2020 to conclude the re-registration process with Tusla.

Please download a copy of the Guidance here: Tusla Guidance Document for Re-registration

This guidance will provide further information on what you need to do to complete the process, and what support is available. An Irish language version will also be available in the coming week.

To remind you, the remaining documents required are:

  • Garda Vetting for company directors and the boards of management (where the directors or board members have access to children in the service.)
  • Policy on managing behaviour
  • Complaints policy
  • Policy on the administration of medication
  • Policy on infection control
  • Policy on safe sleep
  • Fire safety certificate or Fire risk assessment (see guidance document)
  • Planning permission or Sworn Affidavit (see guidance document)
  • Floor plans

Some of you may have submitted all, or some, of these documents already. For those of you who haven’t, it’s really important to start the process of gathering these remaining documents as soon as possible. Once you start the process in the coming weeks, we will be able to advise you further if you encounter any difficulties along the way, particularly in relation to fire and planning. When you have prepared all of the required documents you can submit them via the online portal, which will be open from Thursday 2nd April 2020.
