Kinnitty Community Playschool are currently recruiting an Educator for our ECCE Room. This Educator will also be a Room  Leader in our afternoon Session. This position is Monday to Friday, term time and approx. 39½ hours a week. This position will have a start date of January  2026, and will initially be a 6 month contract, with a possibility of extending the contract.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must have a genuine love of children, and a keen interest in furthering and encouraging their development.
• Must have an in depth knowledge of Aistear, Siolta, and the Childcare Act Regulations.
• Must plan, and implement a play based child led curriculum.
• Must document observations, planning, assessment and learning stories, and have good organisational skills.
• Must ensure that all paperwork including roll books, cleaning sheets etc are completed daily.
• Communicating with parents on a daily basis.
• Communicating with the manager, ability to work as part of a team.

Education & Qualifications Required:

• Minimum Level 6 Qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education, Level 7 desirable.
• Garda Vetting required and will be applied for through our service.

 We are also looking for an Educator for our morning session 9 am to 12pm, approx. 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start date pending Garda Vetting.
